If my prayer goes unanswered, that's alright
If my path fills with darkness, and there is no sign of light
Let me praise you for the good times, let me hold your banner high
Until the hills are flattened, and the rivers all run dry

Revelation 1: The Whole Earth?
Was John speaking only of the supernatural work of Christ whenever the gospel was told and of the Holy Spirit's conviction of those who heard it by God’s divine power? #Revelation1 #ComingintheClouds #SecondComing
As part of his opening remarks, John delivered a bold declaration. BEHOLD! He comes with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him, and they will beat their breasts with grief over Him, all the peoples of the earth. Yes! Amen!“I AM the Alpha and the Omega,” the Lord is saying, “The God Who is, and Who was and Who is now coming, the Omnipotent.”Revelation 1:7-8 In the…

The Mountain Goats - Isaiah 45:23
If my prayer be not humble, make it so. In these last hours, if the spirit waits in check, help me let it go. And should my suffering double, let me never love you less. Let every knee be bent and every tongue confess.
And I won't get better, but someday I'll be free 'cause I am not this body that imprisons me.
I read the magazines somebody brought. Hold them to my failing eyes until my hands get hot. And when the nurse comes in to change my sheets and clothes, the pain begins to travel, dancing as it goes.
And I won't get better, but someday I'll be free 'cause I am not this body that imprisons me.
If my prayer goes unanswered, that's alright. If my path fills with darkness and there's no sign of light, let me praise you for the good times. Let me hold your banner high until the hills are flattened and the rivers run dry.
And I won't get better, but someday I'll be free 'cause I am not this body that imprisons me.

By myself I have sworn, my mouth has uttered in all integrity a word that will not be revoked: Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear.

In which I cover Isaiah 45:23 by the Mountain Goats.
“I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”  - Isaiah 45:23 KJV
It’s been almost exactly four years now since i started this whole transitioning thing, and having a realization like that - suddenly - is at once liberating and frightening. This is a song I’ve basically known by heart since I was 8 or 9 years old - which is kind of heavy on the face of it, to be frank - but it’s acquired especially intense meaning during these past few years especially of relapse and recovery and realization of new things about the world and my place in it. It’s a dark song in one sense and a luminous, hopeful one in another; it’s a song about holding on faith and hope against the inclinations of our bodies and our minds. I didn’t hardly do it justice, but  I wanted to play it anyhow.
